Now, I know I'll be putting up an entry soon today, announcing the release of chapter 146 of A Collision with Hope, but seeing as how I did promise a teaser and seeing as how I personally keep on going back and forth with the chapter on whether or not it sucks, here. Have some teasers. *grins*

"Cyris? Cyris!" Remus scrambled after Cyris, catching her before she could reach the exit. "I think you need to relax--"

"No! No!" Cyris yanked her arm out of his grasp, but did not try to run, lacing the tie of her robe around her waist angrily. "I do not need to relax! I do not need to think rationally! And, I do not need to have my boyfriend using that tone of voice that basically says I'm crazy and I should be kept away from sharp objects! No!"

She began to move again, only a few feet away from the doors, but Remus was quick considering it was only seven in the morning, catching her once more and this time around the waist. "Where are you going to go?" he asked her as gently as possible. "You have no idea where she could be!" As Cyris growled in response, Remus added, "And, I thought you said yesterday, after we had heard that she had woken up, that you were going to give her her space and wait for her to come to you."

"Screw space!" Cyris snapped, glaring at Remus when she wasn't able to pull herself away from him. "No space! I don't want space! A dozen clowns cramped into a tiny car, that's how much I don't want space!"

Remus tried very hard not to smile. "Cyris..."

"And, I don't care if I don't know where she is!" the blonde continued, barely restraining her voice. "I don't care! I'll find her! I'll look in every broom closet of this school! I'll go to Diagon Alley and the Leaky Cauldron and Grimmauld and the Burrow and anywhere else she might be! Hell, I'll go to the damn Ministry and I'll kick Scrimgeour even!"

"Why would you kick Scrimgeour?" Remus asked curiously.

"In case he knows where Hope is, but won't tell me!" Cyris shouted. "And, because I feel like it!"

---

Again, Hope nodded and did not make a sound. She was frowning at the family tree, though not at its contents; at that point, while her eyes were on the piece of parchment, Hope's mind was somewhere else, far away even... far, far away into what had happened the day previous...

"But, enough about that," Cyris stated, giving Hope a nudge. "Tell me about you. Tell me something that's happened with you."

Sharply, Hope looked up at Cyris and smiled almost hysterically. "I slept with Harry."

Cyris blinked. "That'll work."

---

"Well," she soon remarked to the empty common room, setting Sirius' journal and her notes on him on the coffee table in front of her. "At least I can finally define what his relationship was with my mother." Hope paused, chuckling over their kiss shared so angrily that Valentine's night and how she would so tease her mother about it when she got the chance, adding then, "Supposedly, nothing should surprise me from here on in."

From behind Hope, there was a knock at the door.

Instantly, Hope knew it wasn't Blaise, because he would normally walk right in. But, Hope also knew that it could be anyone, because, unlike Houses, the entrances to the Head Boy and Girl's common rooms were known throughout the school, in case anyone had a problem and needed one of them or really couldn't fight the urge to tell on someone. Glancing over her shoulder and at the door, it wasn't until there was another knock that Hope stood up from the couch and walked over, turning the handle and swinging the door open.

Even though it wouldn't be like him, Hope still almost expected to see Blaise standing there, grudgingly clad in his Slytherin robes and Head Boy badge. Instead, though, someone she least expected stared back at her, brown hair tousled up into a messy ponytail and expression almost as bleak as the grey overcast outside, winter still fighting hard against the oncoming season of spring.

At first, Hope simply blinked. But, soon she moved to the side, wordlessly offering them to come in, which they cautiously accepted, walking in and keeping their eyes lowered to the ground. By the time they had reached the couch, Hope had finally relocated her voice, clearing her throat and smiling almost wryly.

"Well, I've been wrong before," she commented, stepping over to the kitchenette and pulling out a glass. "Water, Hermione?"

---

Hope yawned, Cyris handing her a mug of coffee as soon as she did. "Remind me to never stay up all night again, okay?" Hope asked of the blonde, taking the drink gratefully and bringing the brim to her lips. "No matter how much he's in love with her."

Cyris smirked, taking a sip of her own morning coffee. "Ron kept you up all night?" she asked and, from where the two females sat on the edge of one of the desks in the Defense classroom, Hope nodded emphatically.

"All bloody night." Swallowing down some of the caffeine, Hope rolled her eyes. "And, it didn't help any that, at around three in the morning, he went from drinking water to drinking Fire Whiskey."

"And, thus the conversation went to..." Cyris prompted.

"Ron coming up with scenarios on how he could win Hermione back," Hope answered, purposefully adding a dramatic pause before finishing, "Scenarios that associated with each letter of the alphabet."

"No!" Cyris exclaimed, but Hope's ardent head nodding was enough to make her raise an eyebrow. "Really?"

Setting her mug down next to her on the top of the desk, Hope glanced up at the ceiling, recalling their conversation. "A, ask her to marry him... B, buy her, I don't know, France... C, carry her to some remote place and then do things I tried really hard to stop him from going into detail on..."

Cyris laughed. "What was X?"

"Luckily, he passed out before X." Hope shrugged. "That, or I might've slipped him something in his fifth pint of Fire Whiskey. You never know."

---

"No!" Harry tried to pull himself away from her, but Hope kept him close, and the boy ended up destroying the space between them, burying his face into her shoulder. "No! I don't want to be the hero! I don't want to save the day! I don't want to be in this damn war, I don't want to be the Boy Who Lived, I don't want to fight! I don't want to be the hero... I just want to be ordinary, god... I just want to be with you!"

Hope tried to smile, but it was pained, carefully wrapping her arms around him. "Oh, haven't you learned by now," she whispered in his ear. "You are anything but ordinary."

Harry pulled his head back and stared at her. "That's only because I'm with you," he returned and, keeping them attached, he lowered his face into the crook of her neck, kissing her skin.

Hope winced. She closed her eyes tightly, feeling her skin tingle, feeling her heart crack, and kissing him softly on his temple before taking a step back, withering out of his grasp. "Harry..." she started again, her voice barely audible. "We can't be together."

Emptily, Harry nodded, staring at the floor. "I know..." Then, on his very next breath, he looked up and asked, "Run away with me?"
And, there we are. *grins* Enjoy those, and stay tuned for chapter 146 in the next hour or so!
