First full day in Copenhagen - Christiania
So today started off relatively uneventful but got good really fast. We did the whole tour thing and shopping and then went on our own little excursion...
We went to a little town in Denmark named Christiania. In the 1970s hippies took over the area which was a military compound. I'm gonna just leave it at that. Oh and there are no pictures to document this part of the journey because it was not allowed. How exactly did we find this place? Well last night on the train Hannah told us we needed to see it. Then on the metro today we ran into a guy that quickly became our new tour guide for this place. Crazy how these things work.
Then we bought Danish hot dogs which were AMAZING. We ate them in a small courtyard where we found some dive bars that we visited later on and tried an assortment of fantastic specialties. Today was not a touristy day but more so spent in the seeded underbelly of this city.
