bed and banana in Shanghai
It's almost 5pm on a lovely Friday afternoon in Shanghai and I'm lying in bed wearing ratty pjs, eating a banana and drinking tea. Bliss. It seems like such a waste of time to fly all the way to China to sip tea in bed but frankly, I've had quite enough of elbowing through the crazy Chinese throng in the wet, blustering cold and having to bargain for even a quick trishaw ride home from the train station. Plus, this banana and tea combination is a nice break from all the indulgent meals we've been having. And staying home with P while we do separate things together is one of the things I miss very much.
Anyway, a bigger, better update on Shanghai another time. I'm too busy enjoying this relaxing home-time. But just for the record, despite the crowds and pushy people, Shanghai with P has been amazing and if I wasn't having such a nice time now, I might just break into tears at the thought of leaving!
