sunny woes

Australian weather needs to get its head screwed on tight. Torrential rains and perpetually overcast skies for weeks on end and now, THE SUN? The scorching, blistering, arm-burning, freckle-inducing 34 degree sun?! The weather forecast doesn't actually say it is 34 degrees, but I'm certain they're lying because I just checked it and it very blithely reads "29 degrees/Cloudy" and there is not a single puffy white cloud in the sky.

I'm loathe to head out and make the entire 1.5km++ trek to uni in this blistering heat, but I've made a whole string of prior engagements that I'm afraid can hardly be cancelled. I've made a long overdue hair appointment (going to get my locks chopped off this afternoon, I'm scared!), I'm going to the gym, then I'm going to class. Of which I haven't done my readings because there is only an hour left to my haircut appointment and my lecturer has very generously served us a 59-page lecture note reading with a dollop of a hefty textbook chapter on top. And here I am wasting that single precious hour blogging. Ok, I'm certain 'going to the gym' can be easily cancelled with a switch of my mind but I'm paying a whopping $70 a month (with NO free classes btw, I am soooo switching to Fitness First basic package), so I'd better utilise the gym as much as I can to get my money's worth.

Now that I've made mandatory weekly update, I am going to head back to this waffly, dithering 57 page long lecture note.
