The next time a taxi driver tells me that they are uncomfortable or scared my dog, that they have had bad experiences with dogs, this is going to be my response...
I am uncomfortable with men. I have been sadistically raped and tortured by men. I an scared of you. So lets all just get in the car and know that we all trigger each other and get this over with. Geesh.
(I would like you to know that my dog does behave perfectly well in taxis...never even gets close to the driver and just lays there the entire time.)
The other one that irks me is when they ask if she is going to pee in their car. She is belted in in and laying down. My dog is very private with her potty routine and it includes at least 5 minutes of walking around and sniffing and checking to make sure no one is watching her...laying down, buckled up in a tight car during a 20 minute drive...never. Now, I do pee sitting down. Maybe their fear is misdirected?
