This episode was actually pretty good. It still doesn't feel like the same Smallville that I've been watching for years--I still think a lot of stuff was done by way of light switch--but this episode was amusing anyway.
Things I liked:
-Clark/Lois. I liked them this week. I don't think I'm probably going to ship them, but it's at least an entertaining pairing to watch.
-The twist about Lois saying she slipped the thing on her finger off so that it couldn't track her heart rate. That was clever how the writers left us not knowing if she was lying about that or not.
-Drunk Lois's message. Yes, Lois, Clark is just the sweetest thing ever...
-Clark's inability to immediately realize that Lois was asking him if she'd had sex with him while she was drunk. He's so adorable when he's confused! I also liked that he managed to keep a straight face when he explained that she'd gotten undressed all by herself in the living room for like an hour. Personally, I have to wonder exactly what he did during that time. (Probably went and hid. We all know girls and their boobs frighten him ;)
-Clark's reaction when he saw the pink handcuffs. I prefer to think that he was merely surprised that Chloe would do that, because we all know he's done stuff like that with Lex before... :)
-Oliver's reaction to Clark and Lois's "engagement".
Things I didn't like:
-Kara hasn't even been mentioned yet. This is something that's been bugging me for a while, but it really hit me with this episode--I'm not quite sure why, really. Seriously, though, Kara disappears at Brainiac's hand and Clark doesn't even mention it?
-What they've done to Chloe's character this season. Allison Mack should have walked. The crap they've got her doing is so sad. I mean, honestly, her entire plot line has pretty much revolved around Jimmy.
-Jimmy. Let's get this right. So far, he's a)cheated on Chloe b)lied to Chloe about his parents and life and c) had the audacity to tell Chloe that the cheating wasn't actually his fault. News flash, Jimmy: It was your decision to go get drunk, and you left the bar with Maxima before she kissed you.
-Chloe/Jimmy. No further explanation needed.
-Oliver staying the night in Lex's mansion. That's just... wrong.
-That the writers used another recycled plot. Seriously, this was just way too close to S5 "Mercy".
