Car Problems
So, I can report that my driving record is still accident free... just barely.
I was coming home from a party tonight (no drinking involved), and I got lost. I kind of had an idea where I was, so I was looking around and trying to see things I recognized. I was so concentrated on looking up ahead that I drove straight through a red light--with a car already turning.
Words can't describe how completely shaken up I was. This is the first time I've ever done something like this, and luckily I slammed on my breaks at the last minute (as did the other car), but it was still so close. The other car never honked or anything, and I just drove a few yards down the street and turned into a McDonalds and started crying (my standard reaction to a situation like that). Even just thinking about it, it makes me want to cry. Not a good night for me.
