There are so many reasons I love this section. One, I loved the disorientation Clark felt, physically and mentally, and despite it all, how Lex centered him in the wake of such a horrible event. The swell of emotion Lex felt at Zod's cruelty was just so satisfying, but still Zod is truly a monster. I can only imagine what is to come in the final part. Magnificent!!!!

Lex may be driven by his goals, but he does care for Clark. As far as he's concerned, he can mess with Clark, but he'll kill anyone else who tries.

Wow ... Just ... This section has my heart I think ... Lex showed true caring for Clark ... and expressed himself, showing Clark a side he hadn't seen ...

Can I kill Zod?

Can I kill Zod?

I think Lex has staked his claim on that job.

Oh, I just detest Zod. I love the way Lex cared for Clark, and his thoughts here. This was a really awesome chapter.

Thanks! And, yeah, I think most everyone detests Zod right now.

that was an emotional rollercoaster!
still thinks, clark totally deserved what he got from Zod, but alas, actually i think, now, i rather him being abused by lex than be zod!

you did a superb job describing both the physical and emotinal state of clark and lex!

It might not make sense, but his life had never made sense, Clark thought blurrily. Maybe this was just another step in a long line of abnormalities. It didn't look as though anything was going to get any more normal any time soon, either.

As he finally slipped off to sleep, Clark found himself thinking that maybe the only thing he could do was accept it.

You've done it, you've taken Clark on that journey to an acceptance that was hard to believe in the beginning. Good job! Can't wait to read the ending!

It only took me over two hundred pages to do it! Hehe, you have no idea how happy that comment makes me, as that was the thing that I most wanted to accomplish with this story.
