Catching Up On Artings
I've had a nice variety of commissions over the last 3-4 months, and I just realized I haven't posted hardly any of them here. Oops! It's so easy to cross-post to Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr, that I find I'm forgetting to actually sit down and post things here as well. Poor neglected DW/LJ ... -__-;;
This one was a tattoo design for a client. I'm actually really happy how this one turned out--unfortunately, my client didn't agree. We've been working on this project on and off since October, and she still hasn't made up her mind what she wants. It's getting to the point where I may have to do something I really don't want to, and cut her loose. Which means I won't get my final payment on this piece, but ... it might be worth it just for the peace of mind. :(
In contrast, this was one of those great designs that just fell together like it was meant to be--it turned out to be much easier than I thought! My very first seal design, done for a client who wanted seals to symbolize his family--him, his wife, and there soon to be born new baby. :)
A finished character design from Rainfurrest--needless to say, this is one dapper wolf. It was delayed by e-mail difficulties, but once it was done the client was really happy with it. Which always makes me happy!
My very first kitsune of 2016! Nothing too unusual here from my other designs, but I kind of like how this twisting pose and her tails turned out.
And last, but not least--my very first horse tattoo design! Also commissioned by a client from Rainfurrest. The knotwork had me tearing my hair out at times, but the horses were fun to do ... it had been so long, I'd forgotten how much I love drawing them. Which, given that they're the reason I even started drawing in the first place, is more than a little ironic.
Phew! I'm still finishing up a few other commissions, but I'm managing to squeeze in some personal work around the edges, including more ugly cards. So hopefully will get to post more of those up soon.
