It finally came!
A month-ish ago we ordered a new carseat for Quinn. We have a Britax Marathon that we move back and forth between the cars and try to schedule who drives what based on who has to get the kid. This quarter at OSU has been Teh Suck. Megan has been dropping Quinn off and then coming downtown, finding the Honda in the parking lot downtown and swapping them out.
Anyway, Amazon had a big Britax sale and we ordered a Boulevard for $232 including shipping. This is over $30 less than the usual price. The day we bought it, it was being delivered by BabyAge and not Amazon. A couple of weeks went by and no chair. Then Megan got an email saying that BabyAge was having trouble getting all the seats they sold and if we wanted to cancel our order, we could. Are you kidding? Not at that price! Megan read at some website at another that another time BabyAge just up and canceled all the orders.
Five days ago or so, Megan got another email. This one said that at the month cut-off, they automatically cancer orders. We were so sad. We waited all that time and we weren't going to get it. The one month cut-off was yesterday. Magically, it shipping the day before that. I don't know if it was a fluke or some sort of conspiracy, but I don't care. It arrived and it is lovely.
We haven't installed it yet, but I think Quinn will like sitting up higher and maybe being able to see out. She is still rear-facing and honestly is still on the weight border for it anyway.
In similar news, Quinn is 18 months old today! Can you believe it?
I hope that I can do an "official" post but I did want to mention that Quinn sand along with her first grown-up song yesterday. It was Blur's Song 2, you know, "wahoooooo wahoooooo." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0Xl0ZEKJzo Crazy cute.
