Flight to San Diego
Well, we cashed in our vouchers last night. There was a great deal of confusion between myself and the woman who did not speak English well (and seemed to be speaking to me from the depths of a deep pit), but it all got worked out. We had a list of flights that we wanted in ranked order. Basically the woman said they have voucher seats available only on this one particular flight that day. Of COURSE it was the worst possible time - like 5:30 AM. GUH! On the way back they had NONE on the day we wanted (the day after the cruise gets in), so we are going to basically dock and head to the airport. That also happens to be Megan's birthday and she is VERY not happy about flying on her birthday. I feel bad, but I didn't really have a way to fix it or anything. Now that it is all done, she is cheesed that I used her voucher for this flight and not for her one to PHL in December (yes, we are going back...) but I had no way of knowing at the time that it might have been better. Sorry honey...
Positives - Maybe we didn't get the swank $1300 tickets that we were hoping for, but we DID get about $500 tickets (combined) for free. That's nothing to sneeze at. Also, we are going to arrive in San Diego by 9:45 AM-ish. This means that we can have the day to poke around San Diego (DEL TACO HERE WE COME!!!!!!). It is going to be a loooooong day though with the time change. It looks like they have a pretty good public transportation system, so we should be good to get around.
Now that we have tickets, I need to email Carrie let her know Teh Deal. I'm so glad we get to meet!!! If we are feeling brave, maybe we will take some exactly 17 weeks and one day belly pictures since we are due the exact same day. :)))
Ok, back to work I must go. Megan picks me up in 40 minutes for the dr appointment...
