If I were in charge of the world,
There’d be no more eating of meat,
Crushed dreams,
Tears, or
Broken hearts.

If I were in charge of the world,
There’d be snow,
A real man in the moon, and
Everyone could reach the stars.

If I were in charge of the world,
You wouldn’t have to worry about other people’s opinions.
You wouldn’t have hate.
You wouldn’t have to be afraid,
Or worry about the future.
You wouldn’t even have to be scared of what you don’t know.

If I were in charge of the world,
Little girls’ dreams would come true.
All people would be loved.
And a person who wished on stars,
And loved to dream,
Would still be allowed to be
In charge of the world.
