Red Sox Game!

I just realized that I never updated about the Red Sox game Steve and I went to this past Sunday (the 14th). Steve picked me up around 10:30 and we headed to Warwick to catch the bus so to Fenway so we wouldn't have to worry about parking in Boston. The bus ride was a little over an hour but it was nice because Steve and I got to talk and cuddle (somewhat haha) while we were going somewhere which was new because he's usually driving us when we go out. As soon as we got to Boston I spotted a little suvenior shop so we went in so I could grab my grandmother a magnet (she's obsessed with magnets) so I got her one that says "Boston Red Sox" with the Red Sox symbol.

I was absolutely amazed when I saw Fenway - keep in mind this was my first time there - we walked around a little more and Steve bought a new Red Sox hat .. then we headed into the Stadium. The food there was so expensive but we were both starving so we surrendered and bought stuff. Our seats were in the grandstand along the 3rd baseline and they weren't too bad .. except for this beam that was directly in Steve's view of the pitcher .. we ended up switching because you could see him from my seat and I didn't care if I saw him or not. Steve aunt, cousin and grandparents were at the game too, they were in the row in front of us so we talked to them for a couple minutes before the game started.

They played half an inning and it started to rain .. and not just rain .. pour .. there was about an hour rain delay but they started playing again. 3 innings later -- it started to rain again -- harder than before and thundering and lightning .. it was really bad. They obviously called another delay but we stuck it out and hung around .. for 3 hours! Steve and I were pretty much stuck because we took the bus up but when his family decided to leave ... they took us with them.

We had to squeeze 6 people into a 5 passenger car .. let me just say .. it was not easy. It started out with Steve's cousin driving, his grandmother in the front and him, me, his grandfather and aunt in the back seat. That didn't last long. We pulled over and his grandmother got in the back seat which meant Steve and I were in front - I ended up sitting on Steve's lap and it wasn't a pleasant ride for either of us. When we got to his aunt's house my butt was numb and so was his leg. His uncle ended up bringing his grandparents home and us to Steve's car in Warwick.

Our night ended with us hanging at my house for a while and him leaving a little later than usual because the storm hit here right around the time he normally leaves. We were disappointed because we didn't get to see them play but it was most definately an adventure and I think it's safe to say that I'll never forget my first time at Fenway.

All decked out in my Red Sox stuff, haha.
You can't see my shirt but it says
Red Sox on the front and Ortiz on the back

Steve in his car before we left my driveway.

We're such dorks, lol.
