Busy, busy, busy
I've been so busy lately! It doesn't excuse my lack of posting/writing/etc, but life's been moving at the speed of light. My significant other (to borrow the term from a friend on here) and I have been looking at a bigger apartment (mostly a bigger kitchen to fill my need to cook like a madwoman...) I have been going bananas with school (grad June of next year hell to the yes I will). I'm taking something like 20 credits a semester so that I can do the academy (after which I can move anywhere just about and become awesome police chick of doom). And not even taking a semester off in the summer... Oops, over use of parenthesis. <.< >.>
Lately, I've become obsessed with making bentos (mostly so that I can pack healthy awesome lunches for my SO). My only real issue has been getting some of the ingredients (hello lack of Mirin and Sake). That, and for some reason I can't find quail eggs to save my life. I'm tempted just to go quail hunting, season or no. I'm excited to use my new egg molds, and does anyone have any suggestions for onigiri filling? I'm trying to sell my relatives on them (the younger ones love them, cause I taught them to decorate their own like cookies, but less bad for them).
