Plastic Bags
Aaron and I got in a fight two nights ago. He was ranting and raving about the new plastic bag ban that San Jose voted on. He thought it was stupid, impractical, and saw no point in helping the environment. He mostly complained about how it would be inconvenient. He's afraid other cities will follow suit. I on the other hand think it's a pretty good idea and as much as we hope that people will do the right thing and recycle, it's evident that they don't. He refused to accept my stance on the issue and continued to try to persuade me.
Well I understand that this is probably a stupid thing to fight about, it's the principle. I don't understand how anyone could be so insensitive, self-absorbed and so uncaring about the environment. Also disrespectful because he kept telling me I was wrong. I'm tired of being referred to as a "hippie" like it's a bad thing.
We were skyping when this argument occurred and I got so pissed that I just signed off. We haven't spoken since. It's going on 40 hours.
I'm afraid this may mean it's over.
