"Un enfant coincé dans une machine à pince pour peluches"

Three year old Lily Black had many toys, because her father loved her very much and wanted the best for his little pumpkin.

Her favorite was a black plush dog named Mr Paws.

Mr Paws' place as top toy in her room had never been questionned. He had been Lily's companion since her first day on earth. He had received her drool, tears and secrets.

Therefore, one can easily imagine how devastated young Lily was when "'Paws" was lost on a freight flight between Paris and New York.

Days after the tragedy, her father took her to the fair to cheer her up, and that's where she found -him-, her Mr Paws, trapped in a crane game machine!

She looked at him with big round watery eyes, which she then directed to her father, who didn't have the heart to tell her that it wasn't her dog.

Too many coins later the dog was still in the machine, and Lily's father was, if possible, even more heartbroken than his daughter.

So when he turned towards the candy stand, he didn't hear her mutter "Hold on Mr Paws, Lily's coming!", nor did he see her squeeze herself through the cat-flap-like passage.

When he finally turned around and saw her trapped in the box, hugging the dog like there was no tomorrow, he errupted into worried shouts and frantic gesticulation. And after a while, when he realized that she was alright, he allowed himself the ghost of a smile.
