Apple just upgraded their entire laptop line, and the new MacBooks have greatly upgraded specs, including a new look, an NVIDIA gpu (although it still shares main memory, there is more main memory to share, not to mention it is faster), and it weighs about half a pound lighter. Their marketing bullshytt also claims that the new system has up to 5 times the graphics performance of the previous MacBook, which wasn't all that different from yours.
Ars Technica will probably have a performance review up within the week, comparing actual performance to older models and other brands.
The MacBook Air is still much less powerful, and it is still starting at $1800 for a slimmer design (and a slower CPU), compared to the MacBook's $1300.
If you want to get into PC gaming beyond WoW and whatever else is offered on the Mac, get your desktop PC up to date as a gaming machine. It'd be cheaper than buying a Mac, and it could be cheaper, more powerful, or both than a laptop. Or you could dual boot into Windows with a Mac.
