Currently I am sitting in the San Jose airport feeling thankful for free wireless. My flight leaves in about an hour and I think my insides are going to leap outside. Although I should clarify, I love air planes. I love watching out the window, seeing the world tilt and shrink below me as escalate towards an altitude above clouds, like I'm in a giant mechanical bird suit. Flying doesn't make me nervous, but airports do. I'm carrying all this stuff I don't want to lose and trying to keep occupied without losing something important. I had to buy headphones already, I left them in the car that drove me to the airport. I'm kinda glad I was forced to buy new headphones; my old ones would not stay in my ears if I walked on concrete. Mostly I'm excited to go to Atlanta and see my sister and all the nifty bits at Dragon Con.

To occupy me I have knitting, books, sketchbook, my laptop, my mp3 player, and my Nintendo DS. I refuse to acknowledge that as at all excessive.

Bye California. Be back in a few days.

edit: the word of the day seems awful appropriate as I leave for Dragon Con

chthonic \THONE-ik\, adjective:
Dwelling in or under the earth; also, pertaining to the underworld
:D

dragon con, airplanes
