On Moving Out of Your Parents House, and Into Your Own Place

Aug 05, 2007 20:09

that is what my flat looks like... kinda. The mattress and chair and broom aren't mine, they're the old tenants. This picture was taken while they weren't completely done moving out. I promise I'll take better pictures tomorrow, but these are teasers. Bunny and I have nicknamed it The Sex Closet because there's a giant closet attached to my room that's big enough to put a futon in and keep harem girls.

So I've been thinking, I'm kinda clueless on all the stuff I need to get to move into a new place. So I figured I'd make a list of stuff needed (not wanted, needed) beyond my own bedroom..

Living Room
  • couch
  • lamps
  • little table
kitchen
  • dishes
  • spices and salt and pepper
  • flour, sugar, cooking oil
  • dishes: bowls, plates,
  • cups
  • silverware
  • pots and pans: at least one frying pan and two pots
  • spatula, wooden spoon, whisk, scissors, knives
  • meat thermometer
  • timer
  • dish towels
  • sponges
  • paper towels
bathroom
  • general cleaner spray
  • dish washing soap
  • hand soap
  • towels
  • toilet paper
general
  • broom (wooden floors)
  • windex
That's all I can think of. Some of this stuff I have, some I don't. Maybe I'll color code this entry later with what we have.
I guess this list is more for myself than anyone else, but if you can think of something I missed, go ahead and tell me.

lists, the sex closet
