I originally set a goal of reading 50 books this year. Thanks to being unemployed, I not only met my goal, I surpassed it. So, um, here's my list!!

The Lake of Dead Languages-Carol Goodman 2/4 (bit of a letdown, actually.)
Nine Stories- J.D. Salinger 4/4 (re-read. One of my all time favorites)
The Collection- Gioa Diliberto   2 and a half/4 (I was really looking forward to this book and was kinda disappointed)
King Dork-Frank Portman 4/4 (One of my favorites of the year. I'm sure I'll be reading it again in 2009)
Farenheit 451- Ray Bradbury 1/4 (A big meh for this one. I had to force myself to finish it)

Middlesex- Jeffrey Eugenides 4/4 (I put off reading this for a long time because of the Oprah stigma. I was more than pleasantly surprised)

That's a total of 82 books. As you can see, I went on a bit of a spree with reading the YA/kids books, something I feel no shame about at all.
