The Laramie Project and The Mock Trial are taking up my life. So.... update. I haver rehersal basically everyday from 12:00 to 7:00 for Laramie and the mornings for street law, saturdays and sundays as well are divided between the two:
I am an attorny in a mocktrial at the supreme court, i have to try our case ( i am defense) on March 30th and april 5th, so if you would like to attend either of those, anyone is allowed at the courthouse.
I am playing Matthew Shepard, Aaron Kriefels, Tiffany Edwards, Doug Laws, Sherry Johnson, Romaine patterson, and The Email Writer in the Laramie Project which will be showing april 6th 7th and 8th with a matinee on the 8th. The Larmie project is a documentray style play, very nontradional, written by Moises Kaufman. It is a collection of real interviews made in Laramie Wyoming in the weeks/months following the brutal torture and death of Matthew Shepard- A 21 year old Gay University of Wyoming Student who was beaten to the point of his head being completly distorted, and left to die tied to a fence where we was found 18 hours later by another UW student- homophobe: Aaron Krielfels. The play has about 60 characters, seeing as though it is a series of interviews, so multile characters are played by a handfull of actors, as it was scripted to be done. it is also a movie that played on HBO and MTV, with Christina Ricci and the guy from Dawsons Creek and CArolyn Manheim or whatever her name is from The Show " The practice" If you are gay, or have views against homosexuality, all points of view are depicted and the story does not point you to belive one way or the other, if you are human, stand up for human rights, and come see this show.
