Hold on to your seat...

As soon as I say "yes" next week, I will be on Orientation Staff for this coming summer. It will be fun. Meeting people who care about something I care about, and helping new students the best way I know how. It will be hard work. 10-15 hrs/wk in the spring, 40 hrs/wk in the summer. It will be time. 16 sessions, 12 for freshmen and 4 for transfers. 10 weeks, I believe. It will be money. About $3800. It will be heartbreaking. I hope you can all visit.

I am also going to be an RA next year, and I already said "yes" to that one. Similar dramatic assesments can be made. All I can say is: HOLY SHIT I'M GUNNA BE AN RA!

What this means to me: A whole lotta shit's gunna change. For once in my life, I can feel the sheer power of that wave of change before it even hits me. And it is OH so exciting.

What this means to you (and me...): I am going to be home for 2 1/2 weeks this summer.

Bah.
Change is bittersweet.

And it's gunna be awesome.
