As I sit in Beef O'Brady's...
I realize that in the past year or so, every time I sit down to write an entry, I begin with an apology for not writing and updating... This is something I will no longer do! My life is busy and while I do check my friends' page daily, I do not always have the time to write...
Everything has been very well lately- busy with wedding plans (which are almost finished with the exception of some random things here and there) and school, which has kept me more than busy. I love this time of year (November and December) but I am always glad when it is over. :) In class I taught my students about the different holidays that people celebrate- Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Christmas, with several projects for each holiday. We had a holiday show put on by our very own kindergarten classes. Our kids worked very hard to learn songs for the holidays and they put on a wonderful show! My class, along with my suite partner, Sarah, performed songs for Hanukkah. (Someone had to pick songs other than xmas songs!). At the end of the program, all of the 7 kindergarten classes performed Feliz Navidad. (a perfect example of our culture at our school!) and they did a fantastic job. :)
On Friday we had the Jingle Bell jog, which was a lot of fun. Yours and my favorite student in my class ran the whole length of the jog- it was quite tiring, but well worth it because he had a lot of fun! :)
Christmas shopping is finished and all but one present is wrapped. (One for Ryan, who was with me when I was wrapping the other gifts.) I have some snack food shopping to do tomorrow, and then we'll be going to a Christmas Eve party tomorrow night. It's 78degrees here right now- doesn't exactly feel like christmas, but.. eh... that's nothing new for the year!
On Friday, Ryan and I are heading to South Carolina to see his mom, dad, and sister for New Years. This year definitely will not top last years festivities up there (engagement ring and all) but I'm sure it will be quite memorable! ;)
We're at Beef O'Brady's right now- our favorite Sunday hangout- they love us here... (probably because we come EVERY Sunday and spend money on their food!) We're kind of a big deal. ;)
