Sometimes I dream of oregon.gov

I've been gathering information lately. For my job as a forest ranger. The background check exceeds all thorough expectations. I've been given the go ahead by four different HRish individuals and am still waiting on the final thumbs up from a guy I will probably never meet in person. I can only imagine the journey my little packet of vital records has made. Most of my formal identification, birth certificate (or birth cert. as most of the people I've been on the phone with lately have called it), social security card, driver's license, dental records, terrorist registration card, etc, was lost on our move to Ohio. Since I was born in Milwaukee, Oregon I've been frequenting oregon.org more than is probably healthy. And I've fallen for it's banner. Oh how I miss the lush green and temperate climate of my beloved home. The Mountains. The Pacific Ocean. The Columbia River. The Washougal. The evergreens. I sit there alone in my Ohio apartment chewing ice chips, recovering from calf cramps and thinking of oregon.gov.
