Out of my reach but always in my eye line now.

This weekend was great.  I went to Rhode Island on Thursday to spend time with my aunt and other family members/friends.  Friday was beautiful so we stayed at the beach all day, sun bathing and playing in the water.  That night we went to a restaurant for drinks, listened to a funny guy and his guitar, and I flirted with the cute guy across the bar the whole time...  Saturday morning we went to a flea market down the road and bought necklaces.  Then it was off to New London to help a friend move into his new apartment.  Packing, moving, unpacking and reassembling was zero amounts of fun, but I made some new friends and found another place to escape to if I ever need to.  I woke up before everyone this morning and got back to Troy before noon.

I found out this weekend that...

I really like to drive.  I guess I never really had the chance while I was at home because my parents are a smidge over-protective and so were all of my friends' parents...  But I drove 4.5 hours to Rhode Island by myself, non-stop (except once at the 4-hour mark just to get gas).

Hartford doesn't know how to drive (except Allisahn).  I don't consider myself an exceptional driver by any means, but, seriously, Hartford drivers suck pretty bad.

OMG BEACH IS AWESOME NO MATTER WHICH COAST I'M ON.  I refuse to live away from the coast after college.  I'm over this inland nonsense.

I want to take more trips away from Troy.  I've got 3-days weekends, so if you wanna go somewhere, let me know.  Troy is a really depressing place to be and everyone's complaining and general bad mood is getting me down.  Drama and miserable non-relationships are not worth our time or tears.  Let's get the hell out of this place even if it's just for a day or two.
