[ oh, hi there doesn't-know-what-a-compact-is-boy. ]

What are you saying?! You have to get acquaintanced with your neighbours, you know! You can't jut say 'I'll leave them alone', that's no neighbour spirit! [ what is actually replying to the important part. ]

Oh. Hi Minako. And I can't just go knocking on their door. That's just not right.

What part of that is supposed to be 'not right', huh? It's not right to never even introduce yourself to them, that's the part that's not right!

It could be interrupting them if they're doing something important.

It depends on what kind of friend that person is to you.

A good friend. Or even family. Is their life worth more than that of millions of others?

That's actually a difficult question.

... I'd say that friends and family are worth something, sure. I don't think I can compare the worth too well, though, since even though the lives of millions of others may be insignificant to - well, let's say, myself - but they're important to other people. I guess they're pretty much worth the same.

I'd stick by my friend. They've got a right to live as much as anyone else.

But by letting that friend live, you're taking away everyone elses right to live.

Are the lives of millions at risk or are they definitely going to die?

They will definitely die. [In theory, not that the Pulse l'Cie are going out of their way to kill anyone...]

Hope, you're not subtle.

Now I just want to know if the risk is you, or someone you know. Either way, we'll figure something out.

[Oooooh these things have security on them too. The fact there's tech in such surroundings is baffling and comforting at the same time.]

Hm, I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just asking random things. [Not sounding convinced of that at all.]

It's you isn't it? Why else would you ask. You don't have any friends here yet as far as I know who are a risk to millions of lives.

Just tell me the truth man, maybe I can help?

[Keeps his gaze fixed to one side. Oh look, a wall. Fascinating..]

If there was something that could be helped, I would have asked for it.
