Last night was cool. Talking about philosophy (and comparing the US, Canada, and UK), jamming some jazz guitar with someone else who switched from music school to philosophy, learning about the wonders of mathematics from someone my age studying for his M.A. at McGill who grew up less than 30 miles from me in the Seacoast region.
Making friends is nice. It makes losing friends not seem as bad, and it makes keeping old friends more appreciable.
My schedule got very busy. And now chamber choir. And Toronto next weekend. Perhaps, a last hurrah. It's a lot to process in addition to ethics, ancient philosophers, rationalists, philosophy of language, symbolic logic, and linguistic science. I love the fact that I am doing something with my life, but I also cherish a day like today where I can sort things out and rest. And read...
