Concerts!
Very excited for tonight. I get to see DMB, Ben Harper, Jurassic 5 and My Morning Jacket...ALL great bands. I just saw Kyle Riabko, Graham Colton Band and Matt Nathanson this past thursday and it was a blast. I went with all online friends there were close to 10 of us and it was a great time. I passed out MAD promo material, that's always fun cause I love talking with new people. Sometimes you can tell your just annoying them but most of the time people are cool and are even interested enough to have a conversation with you. I don't know what's up with me lately but I seem to be way more chatty. When it comes to parties or places with large groups of people I'm usually not one to seek out conversation, I'm perfectly content with people watching. Lately, however, I've find myself talking to anyone and everyone about anything. I went to my brothers house this past weekend for a party (he just moved into a new house) and I talked all night long (till 6 a.m.) with a bunch of his friends. I've known all his friends since I was little but many of them I don't feel like I REALLY know because we never talk about anything that's really important to us. Well now I've officially had a ton of 'important' conversations with many of them and I'm loving it. For once I feel like when I hang out with these people some of them actually have a feel for WHO I am instead of just being "Kris's little sister".
Anyway, I'm getting off topic...it's all about the concerts. GCB are a great live band and more then anything some of the nicest guys I've met. Kyle Riabko was actually impressive. I had heard his EP and was not immediately impressed but seeing him live you see that he has a great stage presence and has a great time entertaining people. He's funny and witty on stage and makes sure the crowd gets into it. For anyone that may be going to show with him opening be sure to go early and check him out. Very excited to see Jurassic 5 tonight, I don't know all of their songs but this past week I've had a cd of theirs in my car and its great driving music! ....I've run out of time I have to go get ready now. Hopefully I'll have pictures soon of the GCB show to post :)
