Okay, this is another one to add to the weird list. It's impossible to fly with out ki which I was taught, and I'm sensing not enough to even lift off the ground.

And, if flying is new to you, I can give you guys some pointers on this. It's not that difficult.

too weird, flying lessons anyone?, another one to the list

What's ki?

Seems to be a lot of people are suddenly flying!

I know, but I don't think many of them can control it.

Ki is energy you build from within the body. If you train to harness enough, you could use it to fly and other stuff.

That's a problem...especially if they get too high. My best friend is flying, but I've at least told him what to watch out for.

Internal energy? So...it's like an organic boosting system?

That's good, he just have to be careful with the wind currents.

Sort of, trained enough, you can feel it like a flow of the river inside.

And air holes...and warm air currents...at least there's only rain, no lighting or thunder.

How would you train for it? I've never heard of 'ki' before now.

Right...

Well, it's much easier if you've a fighter. Fighters train their strengths and minds while focusing on martial arts. I've trained to fight my whole life so controlling my ki is pretty easy.

Sounds like it takes a lot of focus to do this then...

What about non-fighters?

Hmm, it wouldn't be easy. The thing is, you would have to build enough ki to release it. Then you would feel the flow and push it out from under your feet, like an imaginary cloud lifting you.

I think I get it now though- it's like...like a propulsion system that you can't see.

Pretty much. [wow, he's sounding like my mom]

You're pretty smart in the engineer field.

Heh, t-thanks. I'm sort of a mechanic on my world.

That's good. Bet Lucca would be thrilled to learn that.

I hope so, I've helped her a bit since I got here.

I think she is then.

I'm glad- hopefully we'll have a new power system out soon!
