EXTENDED PROFILE
» APPEARANCE: Eirin is a taller woman, with long silver hair usually kept in a very professional looking braid. She has blue eyes and pale skin. Her figure is "maternal", having a large bust and wide hips. But she rarely dresses to accent her figure, preferring more professional clothing. Canonly she is described as having a "otherworldly beauty and strange youthfulness" in spite of the mature presentation of her appearance. She's not telling anyone her secrets, of course.
» PERSONALITY: Eirin is, normally, a very motherly sort. She dotes on the rabbits she keeps in the Eintei, especially her apprentice Reisen, the Rabbit of the Moon. She also shows a deep friendship with Kaguya, her fellow Lunarian exile, though at times she is more like Kaguya's retainer than her closest friend. This goes back, of course, to Eirin having a matriarchal personality, being very protective of her "family". This protective side can grow to frightening levels, as she is literally willing to do anything, no matter how extreme, to do so. Canonly she slaughtered the entire unite of lunar agents that tried to retrieve Kaguya from Earth, all of which were her subordinates that she had worked with and had come to trust her. In that very instant, she decided their lives were worthless to her. Going further, she went as far as to use a massive barrier that disrupted the lunar cycle, causing all sorts of environmental issues, just to protect Kaguya and the others. Do not cross this woman.
On the other side, she can be unintentionally condescending to people. She is a genius, after all, and often speaks in terms others may not quite comprehend. When she's asked to simplify things, she often will do so in such a way that is insulting to the intelligence of who she's talking to without even trying. This is often forgivable, however, as she rarely means anything truly malicious by it. Except, of course, when she's being forced to fight someone. In that situation, she will nearly CONSTANTLY make remarks against the intelligence of her opponent, often in very subtle and waspy ways.
When at work, Eirin takes another side that is decidedly professional and almost cold. Her actions are calculated in mere instants and she becomes very direct and to the point in her speech and actions. This focus has been honed from centuries of practicing medicine in the most stressful of conditions, as well as the concentration needed to perform alchemical compounding on a complex level. She usually ends up being apologetic about this attitude afterward, however, as experience has also taught her that it's a very offputing side of herself.
Eirin is also a worrier. This is, of course, the softer side of her maternal instincts. She can become insistent that those she cares for take their health seriously. She may not show it in the most direct of ways, at first, but she does eventually become a bit more obvious as time goes on and she grows attached to that person. This is most obviously shown in her conversations with her apprentice, Reisen Udongein Inaba, throughout their chapters in Cage in Lunatic Runeagte.
» BACKGROUND: Eirin is a mystery. Here is what we DO know about her:
- She developed many of the advancements used by the Lunarian Military. The Red Eyes ability genetically adapted into the Lunar Rabbits may also be her responsibility.
- She was the teacher of both Kaguya and the Watatsuki Sisters.
- She created the Hourai Elixir using Kaguya's power
- She slaughtered her entire unit in order to keep Kaguya from being brought back to the Moon and has since lived with Kaguya in exile on Earth ever since.
At the suggestion of a friend, I'm going to leave any other points and headcanon out of this profile so in order to keep that feel of mystery the character has to her. It will come out during play, but no player will have advanced knowledge of my headcanon (unless you cheated and picked me for it before I apped).
