My entire spring break was spent making those two damn garments for Career Day.
They're now done and ready to go except for a few technicalities which I'm going to take care of tomorrow on the way to turn them in.
I'm
so nervous.
They still have to be selected, though. Not all the entries will be shown in the big fashion show, only the best ones. And from there, the winners are chosen. So there's three ways this could go- my garments don't show, they show and I lose, or they show and I win. I REALLY HOPE IT'S EITHER THE FIRST OR THE LAST. Mostly the last, because I can't really afford to make clothes just for shits and giggles. Also I'd love the money/publicity winning would bring.
Also my teachers are going to be there. Mitzi said she was going to go, and I think Remy and Diana are too. And Anny, who's going to teach me next year. Bao's going too. SO I NEED TO WIN TO IMPRESS THEM.
I really hope I didn't somehow go over Anny's head, because she's apparently the big career day person, and I hope she doesn't get mad at me and make my junior year miserable.
But no matter how it turns out I'm proud of myself. Last week I was waffling big time over if I wanted to do the big elaborate outfit or just a simple top. the big outfit was much more time-consuming, but I think my chances with it are better than if I'd done something minimal. and when I was talking to some of the MODA officers about it they were like "WOW YOU'RE DEDICATED WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT" so. that makes me feel better.
ANYWAY I'm turning that in tomorrow morning, then will have... two and a half days, really, to enjoy my spring break. lol |D I THINK IT'LL BE OKAY THOUGH. I think. I can rock this thing. these are just pre-big-event nerves I'll get over it hnnnnngh.
EDIT I'll post pics tomorrow or something. I need to get pics of them on a dressform in order for them to loook good.
