Hoowee's O.o! rumour of today. Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer are making a Prince of Persia, The Sands of Time live action movie.
I first discovered the rumour while searching DeviantART for some Prince fanarts, [because he's just damn sexy] when I read the artists comments down the bottom for this one. O.o! goes me.
So, wondering at the truth behind this rumour, I went and wiki'd it, to see what other links they might display, which got me to this site. Still only rumours and very unofficial though.
Finally decided to go to where all these people claimed the source of the rumours were. Disney. Upon doing a search for Prince of Persia there, I got back one single hit. Most of the document is boring, so this is the small amount from page 12 that actually answered what I wanted to know.
"Another potential fanchise is called Prince of Persia, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Based on one of the longest-running and most successful video game series of all times, Prince of Persia, The Sands of Time, will become an epic, sprawling adventure from Walt Disney Pictures. This artwork represents teh spectacular look that we're going in for in the film.
We put together a rough trailer using footage from the Prince of Persia game to give you an idea of the tone, scane and story of the movie. The film, of course, will be live action."

From the document you can't actually see the video or pictures they mention but the unofficial website claims to have them up here for viewing.
The video I'm not sure about, but there was a movie preview styled extra in regards to the sands of time on the Warrior Within disc, but perhaps that's too old and not what they're referring to. I searched it out on youtube, and this might be what I'm talking about, but since I can't watchi it at work, [disabled bugger it] I'm sticking my neck out a bit until I manage to get home and check.
So in the end, it's an interesting possibility that I'm keeping my ears open to hear more about.
