Want.

Arg. Went searching online last night as Keh had told me at AIcon (I will do a post about that) that Odunu, one of the very few manga I still follow in japanese, had been licensed but she couldn't remember by who. I couldn't find it either (So Keh, if you ever remember, I'd love to know who the lovely perpetrator is) but! going to Viz's website was a deadly thing to do as I discovered four (four!) other titles that I want to get.

REAL
It's by the same mangaka who did Slam Dunk and Vagabond and that was enough to get me to read some scanlations. The artwork and story are both beautiful and gripping. I don't think I've ever read a manga that deals with wheelchair bound protaganists and even if I had, this one would blow them all out of the water.

Natsume's Book of Friends
This supernatural slice of life series surprised me back when I watched the anime with just how much I enjoyed it. Read a few scanlations of it and was again pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it, so buying the manga just seems a natural next step.

Library Wars [Toshokan Sensou]
Bizarrely I loved this as an anime and while the premis is a bit... weird (freedom of speach rights have been reworked so many books are seized and destroyed by the government but libraries are neutral ground and have their own military to retrieve texts outside of the libraries bounds) it worked really well. I think there's a couple of different versions of it as a manga (??) and that this one is the more shoujo-esque one, but I don't care and freely admit that behind the soldiering I loved the romance.

DOGS bullets & carnage
Had this recc-ed to me a couple of years ago, kept seeing the name pop up, read some scanlations, found out it's beautifully shown future-rotten-tech manga with a dash of comedy, watched the (really pretty) ova and durn it all, I want to know more.

Rawr, more things to add to the ever growing list of 'want'. It's getting very depressing looking at that list and not seeing it diminish in any way whatsoever.
