things that upset me
1. the remake of the wicker man.
- why, for god's sake, would you remake this movie? and why, sweet jesus, would you set it off the coast of maine in a MATRIARCHAL SOCIETY and add nicolas cage, leelee sobieski and KILLER FUCKING BEES to the equation? why? why? the trailer is available on the apple website but i cannot bring myself to watch it. also, i bet it has no musical numbers/nude dancing.
2. sweet, pretty indie music.
- i missed the boat on this one. and if this boat would sail me away to the land of dancing indie unicorns and bad haircuts, i guess i'm glad. please, someone come out with a good industrial album again.
and this leads me to my sublist of my most hated musical acts ever, namely: sebadoh, belle and sebastian, bob marley (i know, some of you will try to kill me now), and bright eyes. there is one more on the list but i can't think of it right now.
3. the fact that trent reznor is ancient.
- this makes me feel really, really old. and he's getting fat, too. depressing.
4. the fact that dc is built in a SWAMP.
- i spend half my time any given day simply sweating. i sweat more than any girl i have ever met.
5. the lack of tivo in my life.
- self-explanatory.
i'm going to happy hour with my coworkers now. this ought to be interesting.
