STUFF
- i start my new job on monday! i am nervous! there is apparently a day and a half of orientation and then i will have only a day and a half of actual work before i go to ithaca for a few days.
- while in ithaca, the boy and i will be looking at wedding shit. because i decided i have no more excuses and i need to get started. i would like to get married in nyc but i think i am just cheap enough that i cannot bring myself to put ten grand down for a wedding. and that's not even like a fancy wedding, or a wedding that some older people would deem a "real wedding." it's a bare bones, rent a place and have some food wedding. everywhere is at least $5k to rent, ugh, and the food/cake/music will also be expensive. we debated whether we should have the wedding at all or if we should just go get married at the courthouse, but i really want my friends and family to come to a nice party. that part is important to me. i did pick out my engagement ring, maybe we can order it this weekend. it is very shiny.
- to go along with wedding bourgeois troubles, i have also acquired an iphone. what apps should i download? i kind of hate myself for buying an iphone but i will admit it is a fun toy.
- the cockroaches have exploded in our apartment. i don't remember if i ever talked about the cockroach issue here - it is pretty amazing. there are GIANT SWARMS everywhere and it's very disturbing if you go to the kitchen for a glass of water at 2 AM. we keep telling people we have a cockroach problem, they keep assuming we just have a few cockroaches, but alas no. we have entire generations and subspecies of cockroaches. they are currently starting to infest the bathroom, i think they are attracted to this lush thing i have (ewwwww so much for organic stuff).
- the cat continues to amuse me greatly, here is a gif of blanche:
i kind of hate tumblr, i don't know why i am on there all the time. i really only like it for the small amount of contact with old lj friends.
