i have had an interview every day since friday, and today i had two phone interviews. tomorrow i have a real interview and possibly another phone interview. and i may have to go all the way to long island for another interview on friday.
it's good, don't get me wrong. i am happy people want to maybe hire me. but i'm real tired of my "interview purse" and "interview shoes" and "interview face." WHY CAN'T THEY ACCEPT ME THE WAY I AM WHY MUST I BRUSH MY HAIR
also i may have to take a job which requires me to wear business casual. i don't think i can do it, guys. i am not joking. I CANNOT WEAR BUSINESS CASUAL. I DO NOT OWN ANY "SLACKS" OR "BLOUSES". both of my interviewers today went out of their way to let me know that their companies have "casual atmospheres" but they do wear business casual - and you can wear jeans on friday! the proper response when someone advertises wearing jeans once a week as a great aspect of a workplace is to ask if this is a dilbert cartoon that we are living in, right now. also i almost said "i hate jeans" because i do, i hate pants more than i hate jeffrey brown or sean hannity.
i did manage to get a contact to forward my resume and cover letter directly to the head buyer at my dream workplace, so . . . i don't think anything will come of it, i am not cool enough to work there and my shoes are not costly enough nor is my hair editorial enough, but it made me feel sort of accomplished.
i wanna go live in a log now and have the job of sasquatch. i'm going to go drown myself in tumblr, please tell me tumblrs i should be following and i will pretend that is my job.
