can you tell me again how you resolved plantar f? i have it and didn't when you were writing about it, so while i remember reading it, i don't remember the details. bah.
hey there! honestly i think losing weight was the biggest factor in getting it resolved, although wearing better shoes also definitely helped. i can give you specific brands if you are interested. you aren't supposed to wear ballet flats or any shoes that don't have support across the top of the foot, and a shoe with a slight heel (1 inch or so) is better than one that's completely flat. the shoe should only bend at the toes, where your feet naturally bend when you walk, they should be stiff and supportive everywhere else. i got fancy inserts for my shoes and they do help. if you go to a podiatrist they will cast your feet, which is pretty awesome. preferably you will put these inserts in all your shoes, but i find that is really hard because most shoes aren't deep enough to support the insert. there are also ankle/foot exercises you can do but my podiatrist thought all i needed was inserts. the inserts hold your feet in a proper position and keep your knees and ankles from getting fucked up - my ankles are really weak

i do recommend seeing a podiatrist if you haven't already. they can make sure you don't have heel spurs or nerve damage.
