Just got out of the shower. Sitting in a towel. Seems like an opportune time to update, no?
Woke up this morning, got out of bed for a while, then got cold and decided to go back to sleep. Hopped into bed and was instantly warm. electric blankets = amazing. It felt so good. I don't know how much longer I can take winter. Last night I would have killed to be sweating to death while walking to the bar. I'll take the other extreme, please just give me something besides this. Walking in my kitchen with bare feet and heard the sound of my feet slapping on the tile. It reminds me of summer. I can't wait. Big winter storm coming again tonight. 6-8'' with freezing rain before hand. Awesome.
I feel like I have so many things to write about, but don't feel like typing it all out. I'll try to be quick.
-Got my scores back from my "teacher test" which basically allows me to get my teaching license. The highest score possible is a 200. You have to get a 151 to teach in Iowa... my score.... drumroll... 191. I was pretty happy with that. I got a perfect score on one section and was only one point away from perfect in math and social studies... so, I'm relieved to be done with that.
-I have a job interview for a teaching position in college community school district, which is between here and Cedar Rapids. That will be a week from Tuesday. Vicki knows and is friends with the math lady that will be doing the hiring, and Vicki pretty much said that I can assume that I will have the job. There are also a few positions opening up in IC, so I'll apply for that too, and see which one will give me a better deal. Basically, I can safely say I'll be living here again next year.
-I really don't like one of my cooperating teachers, and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable at west branch. Long story, and I don't want to get into it.
-I've been going out a lot lately, and my liver is starting to hate me. I have somehow managed to have 3 girls give me their number in the past week, all of them in their late 20's. That's certainly a change of pace. Only one that I would really be interested in making something out of. But that has somehow managed to be confusing already. Not counting on anything right now. Supposed to have a "talk" today. We'll see what comes of that.
-Had an amazing Valentine's Day. The best one since freshman year, probably. Dustin was my date. He bought me dinner, a box of chocolates and a teddy bear, and he opened doors for me. Aww. Too cute. I love that kid.
-Babysitting tonight... and not drinking afterwards!
Ok. I feel like I should put some clothes on and work on fixing my liver. My goal is to drink more than enough water for the day.
