I'm Focused on the Future It Seems

Feb 18, 2009 20:53

I've finished The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis (the book just may have changed my life) and part of it discusses wether or not people should focus on the past, present, or future.

My work, the constant filling of Outlook calenders until the days are filled from 8 to 5, has me constantly focused on the future. So much so, that sometimes I think it flips me and I stare too long at next week and the week after before I realize that the day has not flashed as I would have liked. Work sometimes can seem slower then usual, and other times five minutes can pass in a flash of panic and scrambling. Session is what...half over?

Last weekend, while a barrel of fun with the girls, has left me scrambling here at my own house. There is quite a lot I need to...

...oh my good you can see the reflection of this in my mac screen. SWEET!!

...where was I? Oh yes, there is quite a lot I need to do this weekend. But, in my day timer on Friday I have written in big block letters "Watch TV. Drink. Couch. CDs." (Because, I have to keep transferring my music over and stupid me forgot to click the keep cd text button and now I have to manually enter the song titles in.

And I also want to pick up mexican food instead of my healthy pizza, this is really fun to watch upside down.

retrospective, life, work
