The Question is...

...how far do you take a disagreement with the company president?

Earlier today as I was performing one of my duties here where I work the company president walked by and asked about the process. I told him what the process was and the reason for doing it. He immediately told me that it was totally a waste of time and I shouldn't be investing any time or money in the effort. I'll skip the technical babble about the actual process. After a 30 minute discussion about the specifics of the process, I did give into him but he did say for me to check with a couple of electrical engineers because they would be sure to also agree with him and prove me wrong. After doing so, and hearing that the engineers totally agree with me, I am wondering if I should just drop it or should I approach the pres with the information that yes, he is wrong. The company president is an intelligent man, it's just that greed gets in the way of good decisions.

He does pay my salary. Wouldn't want to rock too much of the boat eh? Maybe it's best to just let him think he was right and Ken is an idiot.
