I'MMA TELL YOU A STORY.
It is a short story about a tall lass. (Me!)
I was at work on Tuesday, having a crappy day because I've not been doing very well, and was worried about losing my job. My job is safe (yay money), but I did lose something else.
My iPhone 4.
I got out of the car, it fell out of my lap when I stood up, and then it tumbled into a sewer drain. I even pried the metal cover off the sidewalk to try to find it.
Poor little Timmy is under about 8 feet of water.
I haven't let my phone out of my sight in about two years. I am now phoneless and internetless and working for basically minimum wage.
*headdesk*
I'm going to buy a cheap phone in two weeks (next paycheck), and spend whatever money I have after rent/school fees/life to buy a computer for school in the fall. Needless to say, my plan of quitting work after this coming week is scrapped.
*headdesk headdesk headdesk*
...ow.
But! I am in okay spirits overall. I have an awesome new haircut (farewell mullet I've been sporting for five months), AND OH YEAH ANOTHER STORY:
Crazy Uncle has disappeared. On the day he was going to come over to the new house, he decided to go to a hotel (...to wash his clothes so he could pack them, because that makes sense...). And that was four days ago. He's apparently not at the hotel anymore. He might be in Reno again? Maybe? Or homeless. Or, um, maybe worse. We don't know, he's not answering his phone. So. I get the basement apartment that was going to be his (brightside?).
The same plea I made this time last year when he wandered off: if you see an old man with badly died hair and atrocious clothing walking around your town carrying three giant suitcase and speaking way too loudly and looking confused and possibly trying to flirt with you, please be nice to him? He's somebody's family, and they're probably worried about him.
My plans to spend this summer writing and being part of fandom again have failed to materialize. And I think that's what actually making me feel down. It's like all my cool friends went to summer camp without me.
But. Yeah. Anyway. That is what is going on in the life of me.
