The first time I have ever liked Kate: Kate had laughed when Neal told her about it. "You want to dance with Mr. Tall Dark and Hates You?"

Clever!

This whole story is clever and touching and sad in a lot of ways. I'm glad Peter was there to hold Neal when he needed him. I'm glad Neal went to such lengths to protect Peter. I loved June here. (Who am I kidding? I love her everywhere.) Everyone was perfectly in character. This is a great story.

Oh, thank you so much! To be honest, I didn't like Kate until I started writing fic - and then I realized, for Neal to make sense, for his utter devotion to her to make sense, she had to be an amazing woman. So I try and show that as best I can!

Oh, really nice. I love Tall Dark and Hates You. :) I love how protective and unpushy Peter is, and how everyone, even Jones, feels almost hushed, compared to Neal's ache. Wonderful story, thanks for writing!

This is one of the best pieces White Collar fic I've read - all the hurt/angst/comfort is wonderful (that's my crack, so to speak), but the best is how well you've gotten the characters' voices down, particularly the brief "dream" intermezzos - I love them. Please continue this, please.
