Gah. You kill me every time you write something. This was so beautiful and painful.

Peter's reaction is so very IC. I didn't agree that it was rape, because Neal was consenting even if he didn't like it, but I understand how Peter must have felt. His terror at possibly losing both Neal and El was palpable and I admit, I was a little worried (but only for a moment).

I love Elizabeth, and poor Neal, who is so lonely. See children, this is what happens when we don't communicate.

Emotional angst is so lovely to read, and you did a stunning job.

Thank you so, so much! I'm glad that there are different opinions about whether or not it was rape - because Neal and Peter both feel very differently about it. I (personally) think that because Neal was in a position where he felt like his options were 'say yes, or go back to prison' that it qualifies as noncon. But Neal agrees with you. :D

Oh boy, I was hoping for more in this story... it seemed to finish abruptly. It's going to be a long painful road, but I hope they both get there in the end. Both so very in character, but more than cannon. can't wait for more.

Peter's agony was utterly Peter. He is a good man, not perfect, but he fell for Neal's con totally. Poor Neal to believe that everything has a huge price, that no one would love him and befriend him without sex...
