I seem to have come down with the rather unpleasant respiratory bug that's making the rounds of the metroplex this month, hence my slackertude in posting updates (well, yeah, I'm still writing -- that's why I have a laptop, so that I can write while in a prone position).

Despite the fact that I feel like three-day-old poo, I'm still pleased at the output -- Poe and Dodgson now have three suspects in the chambermaid's death, and another person has been killed in an unpleasant way in order to taunt Poe, which is just annoying the hell out of the University Bulldog assigned to investigate the case (moreso because Poe has a rock solid alibi for this one -- he was reciting "The Raven" for the mayor of Oxford and a soiree of select guests).

Meanwhile, the publisher's assistant who's acting as Poe's dogsbody while he's in Oxford is having kittens at the delay in the touring schedule, the bad guy has plans for the dead chambermaid's younger sister, and poor Dodgson has fallen into the sights of a rather determined and eccentric young lady of quality by name of Lady Gabrielle Gardner.

Why, yes, I AM evil. Mwahahahahaha...

writing, a most malicious murder, nanowrimo
