Tony really should have called Ender the day he got into a bitch fight stumbled onto the hacker looking for information on him.
He'd gotten enough warnings about Peter to reasonably guess he was the person who put brinkofgenius up to it, but he didn't know why. Which was totally the reason he didn't tell Ender yet. Yup. Only explanation.
So what could he do but go into the IF systems and cast a wide net for information before he could get kicked out? Because hacking was a-okay if it was him doing it! He could figure out something from there.
And then talk to Ender about it. After making sense of the information, of course.
