Stephanie totally didn't make a meep noise, really. Nor was she suddenly possessed of the urge to throw salt over her shoulder or turn around in circles or anything. Honest.
"Probably both, yeah," Tony replied, curling an arm around hers. "It'll be interesting, at least. Pretty sure I've met a few of the professors at technical conferences."
"Which is ever so much more scenic than this place, oh my god." Stephanie . . . sounded kind of starstruck, actually. She really liked this place so far.
Stephanie looked over at him affectionately. "Somehow I suspected you would. But hey, it's a step or two up the hectic-ness scale from Fandom? I was going to say chaos, but that wouldn't be accurate."
"Which part, sweetie?" she asked. "The relative normal-ness of it all, or the part where we might actually have to do schoolwork?"
The second one was making her nervous.
