No doubt about it: Chris Staples is one of the all-time best musicians. I have never seen him put on a flawed show, and last night was no exception. Discover America is fantastic, and Chris remembered me from the many years ago when I sold merch for 238 for a couple of shows. He's so cool, man.
Wild Sweet Orange was really good too. And as always, it was nice to talk to Chip (drummer). He just got engaged, so that is always exciting. My old roommate from college, Frances, just got engaged too. Her wedding will probably be in December, and I am sooooo excited. This is the first one of my REALLY close high school friends besides Adriane, who I kinda lost touch with, to get married. It is sure to be a very exciting time. And of course, Kris's wedding is coming so soon! I love weddings and engagements and marriage. It's so much fun and wonderful!
P.S. Robitussin has helped with the immense amount of snot in my head. I am feeling about 85% clear, so we will see if this lasts through the day or if it just lasts for part of the day until the medicine wears off...
