Yesterday I called my boss, who is somewhat of a hippy and she said that I have an "East Coast Bite" in my voice. Something I found pretty hilarious and so I told her I was a mailman baby.

Yeah, that's beyond me as well. I don't see how the connection between being a "mailman baby" and having an accent.

That would work if you looked 'east coast' voice wise you should have said your neighbors were from the east and were raised by them.
