So after spending a fun-filled night with Dana last Thursday, I left early the next morning and got to Ithaca on Friday afternoon. It's always a bit of a shock to go from fairly warmer temperatures to scraping snow and ice off my car, but what can ya do? I'll tell you what I did. I went skiing with Julie on Saturday, and it was highly enjoyable. I only fell once when I was actually skiing. The other two times, I was at the top of the bunny hill, and I just sort of lost my balance and fell over. It's definitely something I can see myself doing more in the future. I especially would like to make my dad proud, because when I told him I was going, he said, "Skiing is the best sport ever invented by man."
In other news, I had my thesis film class today, and they threw a lot of due dates and assignments at us, and it makes me nervous. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened had I chosen a different career - something more concrete, like a doctor. I probably wouldn't be sitting in class watching a 10-minute shot of an Aquafina bottle with scrolling text, thinking to myself that I'm not creative enough. I feel like so many little things have to sort of align themselves in order for my film to work this semester, and none of it is really in my control, which is fine, but also overwhelming. Anyways...enough of my rambling. I think I need to go to Walmart. Holla.
