I tried to summon my inner Betty Crocker this weekend and bake Scones. I had helped Susie make them earlier in the week and it didn't seem that difficult so she emailed me the recipe and I gave it my best shot.
I have learned my lesson and next time I'm going to be stingy with the milk, i'll probably try again on wed. When I mentioned my plans to try again my dad replied, "Why?" and tried to recover from there. Thanks for the support dad. I'll save you some from both batches so you can compare/contrast.
That icon/phrase was running through my head when I tried that first scone. Neither of my parents had ever had a scone before and they kept calling them this mexican pastry-bread thing but I can't pronounce or spell it to save my life and Google is failing me.
